Ever wanted to skip the marital problems and jump straight to the cookie recipe on your favorite food blog? This Chrome extension detects recipes and will prompt you with a button which replaces everything on the page with just the recipe.
The extension is designed primarily to recognize recipes on sites running WordPress. Larger sites like Food Network and Delish generally have custom code formats that make automatically identifying recipes more difficult, so it may not work on those sites.
I tested this out on a few of the longer pages on my WordPress based recipe blog and have come to the conclusion that it will only work if the WordPress based site is inserting recipes with one of the more popular plugins made for that purpose. If the site doesn’t use a plugin for that (mine doesn’t) it won’t detect the recipe.
