Seasoned Brown Rice (microwave version)


1 cup brown rice (uncooked)
2 TBS butter or margarine
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp rubbed sage
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
2 bouillon cubes (vegetable, chicken, or beef)
1 TBS soy sauce
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
3 1/2 cups water

Combine in a microwave safe bowl and cook uncovered on half power until water is absorbed. (about 40 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how powerful your microwave is)
