Man’s best friend has evolved.
A-X-L is an American science fiction adventure film directed by Oliver Daly. The movie stars Alex Neustaedter, Becky G, Alex MacNicoll, Dominic Rains, and Thomas Jane. It tells the story of a teenage boy named Miles Hill who discovers a top-secret, robotic dog named A-X-L, created by the military to assist and protect soldiers. A-X-L stands for “Attack, Exploration, Logistics” and features advanced artificial intelligence.
After a trial goes wrong, A-X-L is found damaged and hiding in the desert by Miles. The two form a special bond, and A-X-L goes to great lengths to protect his new companion. Together with Sara Reyes, Miles tries to keep A-X-L safe from the scientists who created him and want him back.
The film explores themes of friendship, loyalty, and the ethical implications of advanced technology. Despite its intriguing premise, A-X-L received generally negative reviews from critics and was a box office disappointment.
