Italian Pepper Butter for meats

This is good with chicken, beef, fish, shrimp, or just about any meat that you would broil or BBQ. It also tastes good when you serve that meat with rice or noodles, topped with a little extra pepper butter.

Ingredients:

  • 1 stick of butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 tsp Mrs. Dash Italian Blend
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 TBS soy sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 TBS spicy brown mustard

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small pot and simmer over a low flame till the spices are cooked into it.
  2. Pour some into a small bowl and apply to meat, while it’s broiling or BBQing, with a small pastry brush.
  3. Discard what is left in the bowl, to prevent cross contamination. Do not reuse what is left in the bowl or you will risk making people sick.
  4. Pour the rest of what is in the pot over the cooked meat or place it on the table, in a small serving bowl.
